Why I love Jay’s podcast:

As a fellow Indian, I was instantly drawn to Jay’s easy-to-understand approach to bringing the teachings of the Vedas (the main book of Hinduism) to modern society. His energy is contagious, and I always leave his episodes feeling better than before.

One of my most memorable moments from the show was an episode with Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart, in which she gave a tip on being grounded with your emotions.

She says, “Imagine if you were just a ball of energy and the universe or God asked you if you would like to go to Earth for an incredibly short period of time to feel all the emotions that are humanly possible from joy, sadness, euphoria, heartbreak? Wouldn’t you say yes?”

I admire that he isn’t afraid to ask the hard questions. I have listened to so many guests get emotional and shed a few tears on his show because of this.

Why I love Mel’s podcast:

You know that friend who is never afraid to curse you out and slap some sense into you when you need it? That’s Mel Robbins. I love her no-BS motivational speaking style.

I first came across Mel Robbins through a TEDx talk in which she highlighted the likelihood of each of us actually being born at 1: 400 000 000 000 (that’s 1: 400 trillion!).

She goes on to encourage you to use this as evidence that you were put on this earth to do something great and not waste this chance. As Mel loves to say, “No one is coming to save you.”

I highly recommend her if you need some inspiration in your life.

Modern Wisdom

HOSTED BY: Chris Williamson – writer, YouTuber and former television personality (Love Island)

NEW EPISODES: 3x/week – Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays

About the show:

If The Diary of a CEO focuses on the emotional side of its highly influential people, Modern Wisdom is the mental equivalent by exploring thought-provoking ideas.

The show explores a wide range of topics, from personal development to societal issues.

With an emphasis on gaining wisdom through understanding different perspectives, Modern Wisdom is an enriching listen for anyone seeking to broaden their knowledge and challenge their worldview.

Why I love Chris’ podcast:

I usually listen to my podcasts at 1.5x speed or above. But with Modern Wisdom, I have to slow it down.

It’s glaringly clear that Chris operates at a higher level of thinking than I am used to. But that’s precisely what I adore about this show – it pushes you to think differently and connect dots you wouldn’t have thought of.

If you’re just starting out, listen to round-up episodes like 21 Brutally Honest Lessons About Life with Alex Hormozi or 15 Lessons From 2023. Be sure to bring a paper and pen!

Why I love Lisa’s Podcast?

Listening to Lisa is like having a personal hype woman in your ear. Her infectious enthusiasm has helped me to improve my self-confidence without sacrificing compassion.

Driven by the tagline “The future is always bright…if you know where to look,” this thought-provoking podcast hosted by Simon Sinek offers an optimistic perspective amidst the challenges of the modern world.

The show features in-depth conversations with a diverse array of guests from various fields. Topics span across personal growth, leadership, and the human spirit, making it a must-listen for those seeking positivity and profound insights.

Why I love Simon’s podcast:

If there’s one guest I consistently enjoy on any podcast, it’s Simon Sinek. He has so many insights about business and life that when I learned about his podcast, it was a no-brainer for me to subscribe.

His push for vulnerability in relationships and amongst leaders is refreshing, and it’s obvious that he genuinely cares about what he’s talking about.

I almost always finish an episode feeling inspired, more optimistic, or have gained a new perspective or knowledge. I highly recommend his podcast to anyone seeking powerful insights.
